Top Army officials interact with student leaders

MANGALDAI, November 8: The troops of the Red Horn Division based at Chapai organized an interaction with the leaders of various student organizations of Darrang and Udalguri, including AASU, ABSU, AMSU, AAKRSU and BAAMSU.

The discussion of senior Army officers with student leaders was carried out to motivate the youth in positive direction and to adequately utilize skill development and empowerment projects being run by Army.  More stress was laid on establishing coordition between Army and student unions for providing impetus to the state projects launched for betterment of the society like Prime Minister’s fincial inclusion schemes, Swach Bharat Abhiyan , Beti Bacho- Beti Padhao. Cooperation between student unions and Army was also discussed for timely passage of information regarding nefarious and anti-tiol activities as well as to identify and take corrective actions in respect of vulnerable youths of the area.  

The Army unit at Chapai in their bid to show the road to success for the young students of the district, conducted pre-entrance exam for selection of potential candidates for appearing in the entrance examition for Sainik School Goalpara.  Parents and children of the Darrang district were briefed about entry of students in Sainik School, facilities available and its future benefits.  Pre-entrance exam was also conducted to judge and select the capable students to appear in the exam.  This exam will be followed by regular classes and free coaching for preparing for written exam scheduled in January, 2016 followed by interview.
