SHILLONG, Aug 7: Response to an RTI query revealed that the Department of Tourism is uware of various events which led to the expenditure of Rs 20 crore allotted by the state government to Rock On 2 team. The Public Information Officer (PIO) of the Tourism Department provided incomplete details to many queries relating to the number of days the actors (Arjun Rampal, Shraddha Kapoor, Prachi Desai and Farhan Akhtar) stayed in their hotels and no information was provided as to the fooding, lodging, transportation costs allegedly borne by the State Government. The RTI application sought details to a number of queries in the wake of the Rs 20 crore issue. However, the POI provided vague information to a number of queries. The Department, however, stated that the producer bore the expenditure involved in Laitlum and Umniuh. As to whether the state government had organized any party for the film actors, the PIO replied in the negative.
