GAURISAGAR, May 25 : Various organizations, individuals of greater Amguri, Jhanji area and as well as the people of entire Sivasagar district have condoled the demise of veteran freedom fighter, communist leader, educationist, jourlist, social worker and a resident of Amguri Bhuyan Gaon, Chandra Kanta Bhuyan who passed away recently at his daughter’s Nowgaon residence. Chandra Kanta Bhuyan’s body was taken to Amguri tya Mondir from Nowgaon on Tuesday where hundreds of people paid tribute to him. The body was also taken to Amguri Auniati Hem Chandra Dev HS School, Amguri Municipality Board, Amguri College and many other places. In the evening in the presence of a large number of his well wishers, his body was cremated at his tive village Bhuyan gaon. He is survived by two sons and a daughter and a host of relatives.
