DIBRUGARH, February 10: One woman was killed on the spot in a major road mishap here on Friday.
The accident occurred when a sand- carrying truck ran over Sunu Gogoi (40) of Khowang Chamua Gaon in Jokai after she fell off the two-wheeler (AS 06 M 1781) she was riding pillion. The woman was travelling towards Jokai with her husband, Muhiram Gogoi, and fell on the road while he was trying to cross a rrow bridge. A Dibrugarh-bound sand carrying truck (AS 04 D 1045) ran over her.
The police seized the truck. The body of Sunu Gogoi was handed over to the family members after post mortem at Assam Medical College.
