Women's right activist wins intertiol award

Dibrugarh, September 27: Supriya Khound, a social entrepreneur, women’s right activist and founder of a startup in Guwahati - Organic Love - has won an intertiol award for her work on Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) from World Merit and Project WET.

World Merit is an intertiol organization working towards promoting sustaible development goals through youth mobilization and participation. Project WET works on promotion, understanding and also dissemition of knowledge on issues related to WASH. As part of the award, she will participate in the Water Festival in Minnesota, USA on September 28. She will be working closely with the project WET team to develop WASH programmes in Assam and other States of the Northeast. She is the daughter of Dr. Kalyan Khound and Kalpa Khound of Dibrugarh and wife of Lain Heringman.
