Silchar, July 12: It was an engrossing evening for the packed audience at Banga Bhawan auditorium to listen to the most thrilling and documented presentations by Chandra Kumar Bose and Anuj Dhar about the plotted mysterious disappearance of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose which both of them with clinching evidences described it as most unfortute and a deep rooted conspiracy hatched by some ambitious political leaders in New Delhi. Chandra Kumar Bose, grandson of Netaji, and Anuj Dhar, founder member, Mission Netaji, researcher on Netaji and the author of the bestselling book ‘Back from dead:: Inside the Subhash Bose mystery’ with graphic details supported by photographs made it clear that Netaji never died in plane crash in Taipei.

Speaking about the political mission and vision of Netaji for united India who was always inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekanda, Chandra Kumar Bose said it was most painful that with Independence in 1947, the process of disintegration started. As the first president of Congress, Netaji in 1938 thought of a planning committee to build and shape India of his dream. He also made it clear that Netaji was never in favour of nonviolent freedom movement.

Chandra Kumar Bose said it was with the objective of an armed struggle to liberate the country from the colonial rulers, he came out of his Elgin Road residence in dark-deep midnight. From Gomoh, he went to Kabul then Moscow and filly to Berlin. He met Adolf Hitler who was not willing to support India. Rather, he scoffed at the ability of Indians to fight the British. Nobody in the world could challenge Hitler. But, Netaji did challenge him to say India could fight and win the battle against the mighty British.

Moreover, as Chandra Kumar Bose said Netaji realized it was not possible to launch any attack on the British India from long distant Berlin. Arranged by Hitler, Netaji sailed in a submarine for 90 days, something unheard of in the world, to reach Singapore. It was from anywhere in South East Asia that the battle against the British could be possible strategically. He also went to Tokyo to get help for the freedom struggle.

In fact, on October 21, 1943, Netaji could achieve first Independence by forming Azad Hind Government in exile which was supported by 9 tions. Admittedly, the battle fought by the Azad Hind Fauz facilitated the goal of total Independence, pointed out Chandra Kumar Bose.

It was for Anuj Dhar to assert and establish through his power-point presentation that Netaji never died in plane crash. The theory built up by Shah waz Committee and Khosla Commission about the plane crash was dismissed by him as sheer distortion of facts. There was more fiction and myth than any factual account, Dhar said. Mukherjee Commission, according to him, has given not only a on the spot investigative report but also the irrefutable official and public accounts.

Justice M K Mukherjee made the remarkable observation, “Men may lie, but circumstances do not.” Anuj Dhar quoted and showed the secret reports and extracts from the intelligence reports of America and its State Department, Russia, Great Britain, Japan and of course Taiwan as well as India to make the point that Taipei crash was a concocted story and the ashes in Renkoji temple were of a Japanese soldier not Netaji. He was happy and hopeful that with the coming to power of NDA under the leadership of rendra Modi, the mystery surrounding the death of Netaji in a make-believe plane crash would be unraveled.

Both Chandra Kumar Bose and Anuj Dhar were highly appreciative of rendra Modi who was the first Prime Minister to make positive response whom the Bose family members met three times. Both demanded publication of 130 files with Government of India and 64 files with West Bengal Government. They said the best tributes would be paid to Netaji if the truth could be exposed about his mysterious disappearance. They called upon and made passiote appeal to people around the world to join the ‘Mission Netaji’. It is people’s movement that alone can bring out the truth. The interesting and informative talks on Netaji was organized by Ujjalapon, a socio-cultural organization, of this town. At the outset, Dilip Kumar Paul, MLA and president of the NGO, welcomed all the guests and invitees.
