10th AAPSA- Sahodaya talent search inaugurated

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Secretary for Education Madhu Rani Teotia, (IAS) in the presence of DIG, ITBP Sanjeev Kumar Singh and AIGP Kime Aya (IPS) inaugurated the 10th AAPSA-Sahodaya talent search amidst a huge gathering of students, teachers and heads of educational institutions here on Friday.

In her address Madhu congratulated AAPSA for contributing to the well-being of education in the state for the past ten years and said, the Government is looking up to AAPSA to continue to make mile stones of achievements in the field of education and human development.

While appreciating the vibrant participation of the students at the inaugural function, she wished every participant success, and added, “May each one win”! She also appreciated the students of social work from Himalayan University and staff of Child line, Itanagar who prepared a promotional dance performed by kids from Don Bosco Literacy Centre.

“Everyone needs to be aware of 1098 facility and use it for the welfare of children in distress,” she added.

The Guest of Honour, Sanjeev Kumar Singh while exhorting the students to identify and make use of their talents said, “Talents are everywhere, you only need to identify and exploit them”.

He also spoke of the Civic Action Programmes (CAP) and Boarder Area Development Programmes (BADP) that ITBP is initiating in Arunachal Pradesh and called upon the youth to benefit from their activities.

Meanwhile, Kime Aya also spoke on the occasion and placed on record the great role that private schools play in the lives of young people as the influence that private schools make in education is unparalleled.

Aya exhorted the students to be “always on the road to perfection” and called upon the young people present to be in touch with the Association of Past Pupils of Don Bosco which is trying to contribute its mite for youth welfare activities.

Earlier while welcoming the guests, President, AAPSA Techi James spoke about the efforts that AAPSA is making to reach out to students, teachers and parents in the mission of education.

The two-day sporting, cultural and literacy extravaganza will see about 1300 students rubbing shoulders with their counterparts in loyal competition while upholding the motto of Talent Search 2018, “Together to Excel”.
