ROING: The 28th National Reading Day (NRD) was celebrated with the theme ‘Read and Grow’ at the newly renovated District Library near here on Monday. 60 students from various government schools in the district participated in the programme.
Addressing the students, DC Soumya Sourabh advised them to inculcate the habit of reading, saying that reading improves one's grasp over spoken language, which in turn boosts one's confidence. This confidence and the knowledge gained through reading will help you forge ahead in life and be successful in your career. Meanwhile, the volunteers of Dibang Youth Library Network (DYLN), Roing, demonstrated how to read and presented a skit to emphasise the importance of reading.
