Arunachal: APSCS&T Chairman emphasises innovation and grassroots entrepreneurship

Tage Taki urges elevating Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre to Category I status per national standards.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science and Technology (APSCS&T) Chairman Tage Taki has stressed the urgent need to elevate the state Science Centre to a Category I institution, in line with national standards. “Upgrading infrastructure and educational offerings is essential to enhance the Centre’s capacity to inspire and educate,” Taki said during his visit to the facility on Wednesday. Accompanied by director-cum-member secretary C D Mungyak and curator Dr Vivek Kumar, the chairman undertook a comprehensive review of various sections within the Centre, including the Dino Park, Science Fun Gallery, Mirror Gallery, and Emerging Technologies Gallery. He underlined the importance of regular maintenance and timely upgrades to ensure the Centre remains a vibrant hub of learning and curiosity for students and the public. During the visit, Taki inspected the innovation hub, where he expressed high appreciation for grassroots innovations created by young innovators and members. Interacting with computer science engineering students from Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic college, currently undergoing internship training, he encouraged them to channel their technical skills toward practical, problem-solving solutions.
