NEW DELHI: Arunachal football player Yura Tarung has been promoted to the senior team, according to Rajasthan United FC. Taking on twitter, Pema Khandu, the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, commented on the news, saying that Yura is about to cause a stir in the football world.

Pema Khandu informed , “Meet Yura Tarung, the rising star of football from Arunachal Pradesh. Rajasthan United FC has chosen to promote him to Senior Team. With incredible skills and a true passion for the game, Yura is all set to make waves in football world. Keep an eye on this talented player as he kicks his way to success.”

Yura, a dynamic defender, has proven to be an exceptional leader and defender throughout his time at the academy. He is a valuable asset to the senior team because of his praise-worthy ability to analyse games and produce crucial interceptions.

In addition, he is capable of playing different positions.

Meanwhile, Apurna Narzary, who will lead the Indian women's football squad against Sweden, has been named captain, which is a source of tremendous pride for the state of Assam. The Bodoland Territorial Region's (BTR) Chief Executive Member, Pramod Boro, recognised the news on Twitter.

Moreover, in the Sub-Junior division of the Asia-Pacific-Africa Classic and Equip Powerlifting and Bench Press Championship 2023 held in Hong Kong, Manipur's Gaihutlung Panmei won four gold medals.

He earned gold medals in the 53 kg squat with 145 kg, the 97.5 kg bench press with 160 kg, and the total 402.5 kg. In the 53 kg sub-junior men's division of the National Sub-Junior and Junior Classic Powerlifting Championship 2022 in Kanhangad, Kasaragod, Kerala, Gaihutlung had previously won the bronze medal.
