Arunachal: Itanagar Police Arrest AISU President Techi Talik on Sexual Assault Charges

Itanagar Capital Police have arrested Techi Talik, 35, President of the Arunachal Indigenous Student’s Union (AISU), on charges of sexual assault against a 15-year-old girl.

ITANAGAR: Itanagar Capital Police have arrested Techi Talik, 35, President of the Arunachal Indigenous Student’s Union (AISU), on charges of sexual assault against a 15-year-old girl.

The victim, identified as Miss A, alleges that on Monday, February 24th, at approximately 3:00 PM, Talik forcibly entered her residence in Itanagar. She further alleges that Talik grabbed her and touched her private parts. Based on the victim’s complaint, a case has been registered under ITA WPS C/No. 07/25, under Section 329(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) read with Sections 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The accused, Techi Talik, son of the late Techi Takap, is a resident of Sinik Colony, Itanagar, with a permanent address in Village Chambang, PO/PS-Palin, Kra Dadi District.
