Arunachal: MLA reiterates demand for women police station in Basar

MLA Nyabi Jini Dirchi demands a women's police station and police outpost in Leparada, while promoting health initiatives like a tubectomy camp and health scheme enrollments.

BASAR: In a recent review meeting, MLA Nyabi Jini Dirchi stressed the urgency of a woman police station at Leparada district and setting up a police outpost at Sago circle. The MLA has also demanded Tirbin circle upgradation to the ADC headquarters with two new circles, Tai, and Essi Rite under Tirbin.

The meeting held at the DC's conference hall saw Dirchi urging Mentor Secretary Hage Tari to take up these demands actively with the state government and explain how these would be important for public welfare and district development. She updated many of the projects and issues going on and still requiring attention from the government.

Mentor Secretary Tari assured the participants that he would be the link between the government and the district administration and that there is a need to implement government programs effectively. He expressed confidence that teamwork among all stakeholders would improve governance and service delivery in the district.

District Commissioner Atul Tayeng gave a brief overview of the district followed by departmental officials who elaborated on project progress and challenges. All the departmental heads and Superintendent of Police Dr. Thuptan Jambey attended the meeting.

The MLA Dirchi, along with the Mentor Secretary and other officers, inaugurated a tubectomy camp in the Todak Basar District Hospital, which benefited more than 15 women. A registration camp was specially organized at the hospital complex. People were enrolled under the three major initiatives: Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat Health Account.
