ITANAGAR: The Himalayan Suraksha Manch of Arunachal Pradesh (HSMAP) Sunday praised the Indian Armed Forces for their precise and successful strikes on nine targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on May 7 last. These strikes, conducted under ‘Operation Sindoor’, were a decisive response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 26 people. The strikes killed over 100 terrorists and dismantled their training camps, forcing Pakistan to agree to a U S-brokered ceasefire.

HSMAP leaders highlighted that India’s Russian-made S-400 missiles, nicknamed Sudarshana Chakra, intercepted multiple China-made Pakistani missiles, drones, and aircraft targeting strategic locations along India’s western borders.

This outcome was described as not only a significant defeat for Pakistan but also a humiliation for its ally China, confirming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that India’s strike would exceed Pakistan’s expectations, the forum said in a statement.

The organization also strongly condemned China’s recent attempt on May 13 to rename 26 places in Arunachal Pradesh, calling it a baseless and futile provocation with no legitimacy. The HSMAP emphasized that Arunachal Pradesh is and will remain an integral part of India, irrespective of such attempts to alter its identity.
