Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday met Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik at Raj Bhavan here, to discuss several important issues concerning the state.
During the meeting, both leaders emphasized their shared commitment to the prosperity of Arunachal Pradesh and the broader Northeast region.
They focused on the recently concluded ‘Rising Northeast’ initiative organized by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).
Parnaik praised the vision behind ‘Rising Northeast,’ calling it a milestone in the region’s development. He noted that the event showcased the Northeast’s diverse opportunities in manufacturing and services, while serving as a platform to build meaningful partnerships across various sectors.
Congratulating Khandu and deputy chief minister Chowna Mein for securing several memoranda of understanding with business houses and enterprises, the governor encouraged exploring further avenues to expand business and attract new investments in the state.
He emphasized the need to seize this unique opportunity to foster new alliances and long-term collaborations that can bring transformative benefits to the region.
Parnaik also highlighted the importance of youth engagement, skill development, and entrepreneurship as critical pillars for the state’s future growth.
