ITANAGAR: In a heartwarming display of courage and dedication, the 108 free emergency services team in Arunachal Pradesh made 2 women deliver babies, a girl and a boy, inside Ambulance in two separate incidents on Wednesday. The first case unfolded around 5:30 PM when a pregnant woman being transported from Holok Bari to the district hospital at Roing in Lower Dibang Valley district went into severe labour. Emergency medical technician (EMT) Ainam Lego acted swiftly, stepping into the role of a midwife with extraordinary calm and skill. Inside the ambulance, she safely delivered a baby girl. Both mother and child were later admitted to the hospital and are reported to be in stable condition. Later the same night, at approximately 10:30 PM, another emergency arose. A pregnant woman travelling from Kusum Pothar to the community health centre at Bordumsa, in Changlang district, experienced intense labour pains. Rising to the occasion, EMT Luhwan Kamba performed a successful delivery of a healthy baby boy inside the ambulance. The mother and her newborn were admitted to the hospital later and are both doing well.
