Arunachal Pradesh: Man Arrested for Alleged Murder of His Wife in Papum Pare

The Papum Pare district police have arrested a 30-year-old man, Tayum Susen, on charges of murdering his 22-year-old wife, authorities reported on Saturday.

PAPUM PARE: The Papum Pare district police have arrested a 30-year-old man, Tayum Susen, on charges of murdering his 22-year-old wife, authorities reported on Saturday. The tragic incident unfolded in Kakoi village, leaving the local community shocked. 

The young woman, originally from Assam, was found dead in the couple's home on the morning of November 24. She leaves behind three minor children.

According to Papum Pare Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Radhe Obing, the police had been informed of the alleged murder that morning. Officers from the Kimin police station responded promptly to the scene and detained the accused on the same day.

The victim has been identified as the wife of the arrested. According to legal process, after filing an FIR, a post-mortem of the body was forwarded after completion of the inquest, said SDPO Obing, according to The Arunachal Times.

Judicial custody was granted to the arrestee while police were investigating to find out the reasons behind the killing. Police yet did not reveal other more details behind the murder story of the woman.

As the investigation continues, the police continue to dig up the events leading to the loss of life and make sure justice is served. The case has put the spotlight on the victim's three young children who now have to face a future without a father.  More details are expected to emerge as the investigation unfolds.
