Arunachal Pradesh Unveils 'Rise and Shine' Calendar to Celebrate its Beauty and Culture

ITANAGAR: The Department of Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, along with the Miss India Organization proudly presents the beautiful "Rise and Shine in Arunachal Pradesh" calendar. The calendar, which celebrates the state's amazing landscapes and rich culture, was launched at a grand event at the Dorjee Khandu State Convention Center in Itanagar.

The "Rise and Shine in Arunachal Pradesh" calendar is a beautiful tribute to the state's stunning landscapes, featuring Femina Miss India winners. It includes 13 captivating images that show off Arunachal's majestic mountains, lush valleys, and peaceful rivers, all enhanced by the elegance of the Miss India queens. "Rise" represents Arunachal’s daily greeting of the sun, while "Shine" highlights the beauty of the Femina Miss India winners. Together, "Rise and Shine" celebrates the state's rich culture, natural beauty, and India's bright future.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, marking an auspicious start, followed by a welcome address by Ranphoa Ngowa, Secretary of the Department of Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. The occasion was honored by the presence of the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt. Gen. Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, along with the First Lady, Anagha Parnaik. Also in attendance were Deputy Speaker Kardo Nyigyor, Minister for Tourism Pasang Dorjee Sona, and Guest of Honour Neha Dhupia.

A distinguished gathering of dignitaries further enriched the event, including MLAs Topin Ete, Tseten Chombay Kee, and Nyabi Jini Dirchi; Minister of Women and Child Development Dasanglu Pul; Minister of Labour and Employment Nyato Dukam; Minister of Housing Balo Raja; and Secretary of the Department of Tourism, Ranphoa Ngowa.

The event was made even more special with a special audio-visual presentation that showcased Arunachal Pradesh’s beautiful tourist spots, giving the audience an exciting look at the state’s rich culture and nature. The stunning visuals impressed everyone, earning a lot of applause and setting a great mood for the evening. After that, a captivating cultural dance performance celebrated Arunachal Pradesh’s traditions. The event also featured Femina Miss India winners—Nandini Gupta (Femina Miss India World 2023), Nikita Porwal (Femina Miss India World 2024), Aayushi Dholakia (Femina Miss India 2024 – 2nd Runner-up), and Tadu Lunia (Femina Miss India Arunachal Pradesh 2024)—along with the Guest of Honour, Neha Dhupia.

Speaking at the launch of the "Rise and Shine" calendar 2025, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt. Gen. Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, extended his warm greetings to all attendees. He expressed confidence that this tourism and travel initiative would play a vital role in showcasing Arunachal Pradesh’s rich cultural diversity and unlocking its immense tourism potential.
