PASIGHAT: The Government of Arunachal Pradesh-funded British Council Phase-II English Communicative Course, organized by Arunachal Pradesh's department of Higher Education at Jawaharlal Nehru College, culminated recently.

The course is an ambitious project of the department of Higher Education to empower the students of the colleges with communicative skills, language employability and perfection in articulator speech to fit themselves in the fast-changing world.

Three colleges of higher education from the State - DNGC (Itanagar), JNC (Pasighat) and IGGC (Tezu) - were selected for the course. Phase-I course at the JNC was delivered in the year 2020, but the Phase- II remained in the dark due to the devastating COVID-19 pandemic.

Now that normalcy is restored, the British Council came to deliver its Phase- II Communicative Course. Two batches of 25 students were the target beneficiaries of this course, where students across all streams participated in a six-day academic programme. The Course was administered by two British Council trainers, Sweta Sinha and Shradhanjali Tamang. British Council certificates were distributed to all the participants in front of the spirited gathering. Feedback from nearly a dozen students was the highlight of this short programme.
