ITANAGAR: The second edition of the two-day 'Pedal to Pakke', a cycling marathon event sponsored by the State Tourism Department, is all set to kick start from November 5 to 6 next.
The first edition of the event was held on April 24 last year with 25 percent of the route of the marathon being off-road and around 75 percent being uphill. At its highest point, the elevation reached 7,000 feet.
Pakke Kessang MLA Biyuram Wahge on Thursday unveiled the logo, website, promo video, jersey and merchandise along with the event organizers at the launch programme of the event.
Waage, also the state unit of BJP president, welcomed all the participants, new and those returning from the first edition and wished them good luck for the cross-county cycling marathon.
Event organizer Raybam Wahge informed that they are trying to promote Pakke Kessang as a health tourism destination and also that this time it was a 2-day event, covering almost 200 kilometres.
Event organizer (Technical) Taka Tamut informed that there would be around 40 cyclists would include female and junior-level participants who would be competing with national-level cyclists from other states.
