ITANAGAR: Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) principal Dr. M. Q Khan kicked off the national integration rally on the fifth day of the ongoing seven-day national integration camp on the college campus on Tuesday. The rally, which started from the DNGC campus to Ganga and vice versa, was witnessed by the state liaison officer of the NSS cell under the directorate of higher and technical education, Dr. A. K Mishra, senior youth officer from the regional directorate of NSS Guwahati, N. C Deori, NSS programme officers of the college, Botem Moyong, and Dr. Kipa Roni, among others.
The week-long national integration camp is being organised by the regional directorate of NSS Guwahati in collaboration with DNGC and the state NSS cell, starting January 5, wherein 15 states, including Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and eight NE states, are participating. Earlier, it was officially inaugurated by state sports and youth affairs minister Mama Natung on January 6. While briefing the media, Dr. Khan enlightened them about the objective of the national integration rally. "National integration is a feeling of togetherness, oneness, and unity among the citizens of the nation, irrespective of their castes, creeds, religions, and regions. This rally also means to spread unity and diversity among all people of the nation," he said.
Dr. Mishra narrated various activities, such as cultural and literary activities, undergoing the national integration camp.
