ITANAGAR: The President and General Secretary of All Arunachal Tribal Rural Panchayat Restoration Andolan Committee (AATRPRAC) was moved to TRIHMS hospital following health issues on Saturday.

James Teli Camdir told reporters that the committee would not withdraw from the hunger strike. However, he also said that the health condition of the President is deteriorating day by day, and still in an unconscious condition.

He further added, that they are only demanding the cancellation of Panchayati Raj's Right to Non-APST but the State government, as well as Panchayat Minister, is mute on the issue.

"Today the medical team brought us to the hospital. Surprisingly, no one from the administration has ever visited the protesting area. In case, anything goes wrong during the strike, we would like to appeal to the people of Arunachal to keep alive the issue," he said, adding that the issue is genuine and for the protection of indigenous people.

Meanwhile, Doctor from TRIHMS informed that as of now their health condition is better but with deteriorating health conditions they should not continue the hunger strike, which may be harmful.

They are demanding the cancellation of Panchayat Raj rights to Non- APST in the districts of Namsai, Tezu, and Changlang.
