ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh PHE and WS Minister Wangki Lowang Monday inaugurated two important projects at Deomali and Namsang in Tirap district, respectively. The first project is a rostrum at Deomali general ground, funded under SIDF for the 2021–22 financial year with an allocation of Rs 70 lakh. The project was executed by RWD. The second project inaugurated during the day was the RCC Bridge with CC Approach Road over the Namchu River at Namsang. The bridge, with a span of 15 meters, was funded under SIDF for the financial year 2021–22 with an amount of Rs 1.5 crore, which was executed by RWD. The projects were inaugurated in the presence of ADC Vishakha Yadav, ZPM Wangphoon Lowang, and Sam Korok. The event was also attended by HoDs, GBs, chiefs, and PRIs from the Deomali and Namsang areas. While inaugurating the projects, Lowang appreciated the RWD for completing the projects in a specific time as per the DPR.
Lowang also lauded the Deomali administration, under the leadership of the ADC, for monitoring the projects from time to time to ensure quality work. Former Namsang GB Khenwang Lowang, on behalf of the people of Deomali and Namsang, praised the minister for fulfilling the long-cherished project of building a bridge over the Namchu River between Namsang and Khela roads, which is also an alternative road from Khonsa to Assam via Namsang and Khela roads.
