No fresh COVID case reported in the past four days in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh did not report any fresh case of COVID-19 in the past four days.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh did not report any fresh case of COVID-19 in the past four days. The tally remained at 16,839, while the number of recoveries stands at 16,780. The State has three active cases, while 56 people died due to the contagion so far. The recovery and positivity rates stand at 99.64 per cent and 0.018 per cent respectively, said State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa on Wednesday.

Tirap district has the highest number of active cases with two, while the Capital Complex region comprising, Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas, has one. Altogether, 4,08,728 samples have been tested, including 276 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a total of 48,752 persons have been inoculated in the State so far since the vaccination drive began in January this year, informed State Immunization Officer Dimong Padung .

The Health Department has been carrying out the inoculation drive four days a week - Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
