Itanagar, Jun 20: Security forces in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh apprehended an NSCN (K) militant and an over-ground worker (OGW) of the outfit over the last two days.
Self-styled private Angam Wangshu and OGW Paras Gurung of the NSCN (K) were apprehended from Monitoring village during an operation conducted by troops of the Assam Rifles which began on Monday night and continued till the next morning, informed Kohima-based Defence PRO Col C Konwer.
An extortion note demanding Rs 2 lakhs from the villagers of Mintong was recovered from them, the PRO said.
