Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh unit of BJP president Tapir Gao has issued a directive to all district and mandal units of the party to submit reports on the district disciplinary action committee by April 30.

Gao said that there have been reports of anti-party activities by some party leaders and workers during the recent election campaigning and election process. While he did not name any particular person, Gao said that a number of leaders have been either suspended or expelled from the party.

Earlier this month, an alleged complaint was submitted by the BJP’s Kalaktang Mandal president, Pema Rinchin, that chief minister Pema Khandu’s “younger brother Tsetan Chombey” was canvassing for the JDU candidate.

“Chombey is putting his cash and kind to defeat the BJP candidate Norbu Tsering Thongdok…helping the JDU candidate Dorjee Wangdi Karma”.

The letter was allegedly written to the party president on April 1. Its authenticity could not be independently verified.
