Tapir Gao Inaugurates Longest Community Hall Opened In Upper Siang

YINGKIONG: Arunachal MP from East parliamentary constituency Tapir Gao along with Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Women and Child Development, Alo Libang inaugurated the cultural hall-cum-community-hall at Simong village here on Saturday.

The hall is one of the longest in Upper Siang District. It is 63 meter in length and 8.5 metre in breadth. The project sanctioned under the State Infrastructure Development Fund (SIDF) amounting to Rs 100 lakh during 2017-18 was executed by the RWD department.

Addressing the gathering, Gao said that the hall is one of the respectable places in the society where all the important meetings take place. He also requested all MLAs to construct such community halls at various locations in their respective constituencies.

Much satisfied with the quality of work done, Gao appreciated the staffs of executing agency asked the department to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of a welcome gate in front of the hall which he assured to fund through the MPLAD.
