HAILAKANDI: A total of 13 fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from South Assam's Hailakandi district on Tuesday, taking the total tally to 3,228. Health authorities here disclosed that all the 13 positive cases have been detected under the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). Altogether 2,475 swab samples were taken on Tuesday out of which 258 are under RT-PCR and 2,217 under RAT.
Altogether 1,889 cases have been found positive under RAT with over 50 per cent without travel history. 3,129 persons on being cured have been discharged from hospitals.The number of active cases is 80. Eight COVID-19 positive patients have breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. 11 deaths at SMC&H have been declared as 'non-COVID' by the State level Death Audit Board. 41 COVID-19 asymptomatic persons are under home isolation. Of the 27,546 RT-PCR samples taken, 24,654 have tested negative. Swab results of 439 persons are awaited. Altogether 93,658 swab samples were taken out of which 27,546 are under RT-PCR and 66,112 under RAT.
