152 Bn CRPF distributes solar lights under civic action programme

The 152 Battalion of CRPF on Wednesday organized a ‘Sadvabna Mission’ under civic action programme at the Balijana Narayanpara field under Balijana education block.

GOALPARA: The 152 Battalion of CRPF on Wednesday organized a 'Sadvabna Mission' under civic action programme at the Balijana Narayanpara field under Balijana education block.

The Battalion, which has its headquarter in Goalpara town, distributed solar lights among 50 poor families in the programme. Dev Shankar Mishra, Commandant of the 152 Battalion, attended the programme and supervised the distribution. In his address, the Commandment emphasized maintaining a cordial and friendly relationship between the CRPF and local civilians in order to serve better the society and maintain peace and tranquility.

Attending the same programme, Amitabh Basumatary, Additional Superintendent of Police, Goalpara encouraged the local youths to join the army and paramilitary forces. "Taming the anti-social and protecting the peaceful public is the sole aim of police and other security forces," said Basumatary.

About 200 people attended the programme, besides Assistant BDO of Balijana development block, Tanjil Ali Dewan and CRPF officers Pradip Kumar Sing, Binita Kumari and Harsh Tripathi.
