At a distinguished felicitation ceremony hosted by the Assam Tea Tribe Students' Central Association, 17-year-old Bibhav Kurmi from Dibrugarh revealed his debut poetry collection, marking a memorable milestone for the Assamese literary and student community.
Several distinguished personalities attended the event, which was organized to recognize exceptional student achievers.
Mr. Jagadish Borah congratulated the prize winners and praised the commitment and perseverance of the student body, while Mr. Dhiraj Gowala presided over the first session.
The official publication of Bibhav Kurmi's first poetry book, which marked an important turning point for the aspiring writer, was the event's high point. Kurmi was guided in his literary path by Mr. Milan Jyoti Borah, an assistant teacher at Don Bosco School in Dibrugarh, who helped make the publication a reality.
Dr. Ranoj Pegu, the education minister for Assam, and Mr. Ramesh Chandra Jain, the chairman of the Assam State School Education Council, graced the book launch. Both authorities commended the young poet's achievement and emphasized the value of fostering creativity in addition to academic success.
