Guwahati: A landslide at Hirombapur area in Guwahati's Kharguli led to the death of 21-year-old Priyanka Boro.
According to reports, the incident happened when she was doing the household chores around 6 AM. Her body has been taken to the Gauhati Medical College & Hospital for post-mortem.
Boro was a 6th semester student pursuing her studies at Guwahati College. She is said to be a bright student with an inclination towards culture studies more than anything else.
The 21-year-old was the first rank holder (state-level) in the field of Music in the 2015 HSLC examination. Her expertise in Bihu, Shastriya and other forms of cultural dance forms had brought her numerous accolades.
She had also performed during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Assam. She had brought laurels to Assam through her dance performances abroad.
