Namrup: Like every year, Assam Petrochemicals Limited (APL) observed the National Safety Day on March 4 to enhance safety awareness among employees. The programme kicked off with the display of safety banners at various locations of the office premises, pinning of safety badges on employees and distributing safety leaflets. In the spirit of this day, Jayanta Buragohain, Assistant Manager-Safety, highlighted the purpose behind celebrating National Safety Day every year all over India.
This year’s National Safety Day theme was ‘Cultivate and sustain a safety culture for building nation’. The meeting then progressed with hoisting of safety flag by SK Mahanta, DGM-Maintenance, in front of the CO’s emergency assembly point in presence of many top officials followed by an interactive seminar where top officials and many employees spoke on various safety-related issues and provided valuable suggestions. The meeting concluded with administering safety pledge by SU Zaman, DGM-Material Management.
