70th All India Cooperative Week celebration concludes in Lakhimpur district

Along with the rest of the nation, Lakhimpur district celebrated the 70th Cooperative Week from November 14 to November 20 with much enthusiasm and cooperative centric activities during the entire week.

LAKHIMPUR: Along with the rest of the nation, Lakhimpur district celebrated the 70th Cooperative Week from November 14 to November 20 with much enthusiasm and cooperative centric activities during the entire week. This year’s theme of the Cooperative Week was “Role of Cooperatives in Making India $ 5 Trillion Economy and Sustainable Development Goals”. The celebration of the Cooperative Week commenced with a heartfelt tribute to Vaikunth Mehta, a luminary in the cooperative movement, followed by the hoisting of the cooperative flag.

The closing ceremony of the celebration of 70th All India Cooperative Week in Lakhimpur district was centrally organized at Kamalaboria Samabai Samiti Limited office premises, located at Naragaon, under the auspices of the District Cooperation Department. District Commissioner Sumit Sattawan, delivered his lecture in the programme as chief guest in the presence of ZJRCS of Tezpur Zone, DRCS Lalit Chandra Bora, in-charge ARCS Prabin Sarmah, SRCS Rup Ranjan Das along with all officers of the Cooperation Department, chairmen and secretaries of all Gaon Panchayat Samabai Samitis (GPSS), shareholders and cooperators of Cooperation Department of Lakhimpur district. The meeting was presided by Lakhimpur DRCS Lalit Chandra Bora while objective of the meeting was explained by in-charge ARCS Prabin Sarmah.
