90 revenue villages, 12,000 people affected by flood in Morigaon district

MORIGAON: The second wave of flood in Morigaon district has submerged the greater Bhuragaon revenue circle area. Total 90 revenue villages and 12,000 people have been affected due to breach of 4 km area from Bhuragaon's Dighaliati to Baralimari. The flood has left thousands of people homeless, forcing them to take shelter on the Morigaon-Bhuragaon PWD road. People, along with their domestic animals, have taken shelter in the temporary camps. They seek relief and rehabilitation measures by the government.
