JAMUGURIHAT: Presently, various advertisements for games are often seen on social media, mobile game shows and even on TV. People are caught in this temptation. These applications are not for the development of anyone but are leading the youth towards destruction, said Nishant Thard, state president, National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau, Assam. The state president of the organization considers it a matter of concern that the public is not paying attention to this issue due to lack of widespread side effects or widespread discussion. The organization said that although alcohol contributes to the country’s economy, the effects of alcohol are well known. Despite this, no one is seen protesting. Cigarettes, tobacco, gutka packets have legal warnings on the one hand and advertisements on the other to raise awareness among consumers in various media outlets. In such a situation, the people have to think about where we are heading. Also, the same system applies to all matters related to loans or jobs. Loans are disbursed to customers through online mining applications and all the information is taken on mobile.
So, the customers do not receive the sanctioned funds and have to repay the loan with interest many times higher within a short period of time, otherwise they face embarrassing situations. However, these applications have been used by the general public. Similarly, many job-related fraud apps are on the rise. Recently, there have been reports of educated unemployed people being misled on the pretext of jobs. Similarly, online games use money. Despite the fact that this gambling-like game is considered bad, the youth have become victims of it. The National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau, Assam State President Nishant Thard said the issue will be taken very seriously and action will be taken soon. In a statement sent to the newspaper, Mrinmay Kumar Nath, the State Media Officer of association’s said the association would take an active role in preventing this practice from misleading the youth.
