Kokrajhar: On the last day of the election campaign for the third phase of election in Assam on Sunday, AIUDF supremo Baddrudin Ajmal called upon voters to wipe out the BJP and BPF from power and said that his party would whole-heartedly support UPPL candidate UG Brahma in the Kokrajhar parliamentary seat.

Addressing a huge public gathering at Monakhosa, Fakiragram, Ajmal said that 2.5 lakh Muslims in Kokrajhar constituency cast their vote in favour of independent candidate Naba Kumar Sarania and made him victorious in the last Lok Sabha election. But he failed miserably to do anything for the community, alleged Ajmal. He said that Muslims must realize that the time had come to give a befitting reply to Sarania.

Ajmal said the BJP had been working against the interest of the minority community and time had come to bid farewell to the BJP. He also said that supporting BPF meant supporting BJP and therefore, there was no question of supporting BPF.

UPPL candidate UG Brahma said the alliance between the AIUDF and UPPL was not for a short term. They had set their eyes on wiping the BPF and BJP from the State and BTC administration as well. He said the UPPL had emerged as a potential party in the region to decide the fate of future politics and the time had come when no party would be able to form a government without UPPL.

Brahma slammed the communal politics of independent candidate Naba Kumar Sarania and also alleged that Sarania and Mohilary’s associates had started distributing money among people since April 20 to cast their votes in favour of their candidates. The meeting was also addressed by the vice-president of the AIUDF, Aditya Langthasa and MLA of Gauripur, Nizamur Rahman.

GOSSAIGAON: UPPL party held a grand election campaign on the last day of the election campaign at Fakiragram under Kokrajhar district. Addressing the gathering, AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal appealed to the voters of the area to cast their valuable votes in favour of their ally UPPL candidate U G Brahma to maintain peace and harmony in the region. Ajmal claimed that they would win four seats, including Kokrajhar.
