KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) organized a ‘Road March’ on Monday for building a vibrant Bodo community. The Road March was carried out in all 10 sub-divisions of BTC including Gahpur and Biswanath and the rest of the state. The march which was flagged off by the ABSU President, Dipen Boro, started from Bodofa Nwgwr near BTC Secretariat and ended at Govt HS&MP School playground. ABSU called for unity among all nationalist Bodo organizations and shouted slogans including ‘Bodos of the world: unite,’ ‘Live and let live,’ and ‘Jwi Boro Harini: Jwi.’ The march was joined by the members of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha, All-Assam Tribal Sangha, Boro Somaj, Boro Primary Teachers’ Association, Dularai Boro Harimu Afad, and other organizations.

In his speech, ABSU President Dipen Boro said that the objectives of the Road March was to strengthen the unity among the Bodo brothers, to ensure Bodofa’s dream of building a vibrant Bodo community in the world, and to spread Bodofa’s principle of ‘live and let live.’
