NAGAON: At a function held at Puranigudam Girls' High School, Ruhini Bezbaruah, a resident of Delhi and husband of alumnae of Puranigudam Girls' High School and COVID victim, Amiya Bezbaruah, presented the Amiya Bezbaruah Memorial incentive awards among the top students of each standard of Puranigudam Girls' High School and the topper of the school this year.
The programme was chaired by Bimal Chandra Katoki, president of school management committee, and Amiya Bora, the headmistress of the school graced the occasion as chief invitee.
The incentive awards carry appraisal letter, memento and cash of Rs 1,000 each. The award will be presented to the meritorious students of the school every year by the husband of Amiya Bezbaruah under the Amiya Bezbaruah Memorial Trust. In the presentation ceremony, Amiya Bezbaruah's husband Ruhini Bezbaruah and their four girls were present. Amiya Bezbaruah died of COVID-19 on April 16, 2021.
