GUWAHATI: On Day 7 of Anna Sewa Din in February, 89.11% of the allocated food grains were distributed, benefiting 86.30% of ration cardholders under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana. This ongoing distribution drive will continue until the 10th of this month, ensuring food security for all.
To review the implementation of Anna Sewa Din, Smti. Arunima Kakaty, ACS, AC, Tamulpur, visited FPS in Kumarikata, Tamulpur, and Gandhibari with FPD and CA Department officials on February 3. During the review process, Arunima monitored NFSA rice delivery and gathered beneficiaries' feedback for improvement.
According to reports, on the first day of Anna Sewa Din, 17.69% of the allocated free food grains (1,35,616.25 MT) have been distributed, benefiting 16.30% of cardholders across the state.
Meanwhile, on the second day, 36.39% of the allocated free food grains (1,35,616.25 MT) were distributed, benefiting 33.88% of cardholders across the state, and on the 3rd day of Anna Sewa Din in February 2025, 48.96% of ration cards have been availed, and 53.19% of the allocated free food grains have been distributed to beneficiaries across Assam.
Similarly, on Day 4, 68.30% of allocated food grains were distributed, benefiting 64.84% of ration cardholders under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana, and on Day 5, 76.92% of allocated food grains were distributed, benefiting 73.56% of ration cardholders under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana.
