Arhar seeds, guava saplings distributed to farmers in Bokakhat

With an aim to optimize the production of arhar and guava production under Bokakhat ADO Circle of Golaghat district

BOKAKHAT: With an aim to optimize the production of arhar and guava production under Bokakhat ADO Circle of Golaghat district, the Agricultural Development Officer Boichitra Hakmaosa on Tuesday distributed arhar seeds and guava saplings among the beneficiary farmers. Moisture metre, pesticides and agricultural lime have also been distributed to the beneficiaries. The distribution programme was inaugurated on Tuesday by Boichitra Hakmaosa in the presence of Agricultural Assistant Inspector and Agricultural Extension Assistant.

On the occasion, ADO Hakmaosa said, "The department has been really striving hard to increase the production level of various crops including food crops, and to achieve this objective the department is implementing a number of schemes sponsored by the State and Central Government with sensitizing farmers about the advantages of adopting latest technology to enhance the production." The ADO said that the concerned Agricultural Extention Assistants under Bokakhat ADO Circle will distribute the remaining seeds and saplings among the beneficiaries, stated a press release.
