Arti Power Signs MoU To Invest Rs. 1,000 Crore In Assam

Arti Power aims to contribute to the security and economic development of Assam's power sector, in line with the National Renewable Energy Goals.

GUWAHATI: Advantage Assam 2.0 is being organized with the aim of driving the economic development of Assam. The state government has already announced that the conference is expected to generate an investment of Rs. 1.5 lakh crore.

Arti Power & Ventures is committed to investing in the power sector of Assam, with a special emphasis on sustainable infrastructure projects. Arti Power aims to contribute to the security and economic development of Assam's power sector, in line with the National Renewable Energy Goals.

As part of this commitment, Arti Power signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs. 1,000 crore with the state government during Advantage Assam for investment in the state. Alongside the energy sector, Arti Agro Food is also interested in supporting women and rural empowerment in Assam by investing in the food processing sector.

Arti Agro plans to create employment opportunities for thousands of women in the state, leveraging its long experience in the food processing industry across different parts of the country.

Arti Power is planning to develop small, medium, and micro hydropower projects using abandoned water resources in Assam to generate 100–200 MW of electricity. The company also plans to implement innovative Solar PV projects, such as solar installations on embankments, while focusing on green hydrogen production.

Special attention will be given to developing power projects in Assam's hilly districts. Arti Power will collaborate with public sector entities in Assam to strengthen the power sector and aims to revive non-performing power projects through renovation and modernization.
