DOOMDOOMA: The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba-Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) staged a protest march against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) at Doomdooma on Friday.
At the onset of the programme, Surajit Moran and Kanchan Bora, president and secretary respectively of AJYCP, Tinsukia District Committee, paid rich tribute to the five martyrs of the anti-CAA stir at Gandhi Chowk, followed by other leaders.
Later, a procession was taken out which paraded through the main thoroughfare of the town by shouting slogans against CAA and demanding justice for the martyrs. The programme was attended by the Aanchalik committees of AJYCP from Doomdooma, Kakapather, Sadiya, Dangri, Phillobari, Margherita, Digboi, Tirap -Jagun, Pengeri - Bordubi, Makum - Tinsukia and Bordubi.
