NAGAON: The 112th Nagaon Bhogali Bihu festival, being organized at the historic Nehrubali field here, came to an end with a thrilling boat racing event on the Morikolong Bill, a natural lake on the outskirts of Nagaon town, on Sunday.

 The event, which was a special part of the Bhogali Bihu celebrations this time, drew thousands of spectators who gathered to witness the exciting competition.

Over eight teams participated in the boat racing event, which was inaugurated by noted journalist and litterateur Manoj Kumar Goswami. The event was organized by the organizing committee of the Nagaon Bhogali Bihu festival, a local organization that has been celebrating the Bhogali Bihu festival for over a century.

The Bihu festival concluded with a cultural programme featuring music, dance, and performances by local artists.

The Nagaon Bhogali Bihu festival, which began on January 13, featured a range of cultural events, including traditional Assamese music and dance performances, theatre performances, and a fair. The various events of the festival were attended by thousands of people from across the region.

The Nagaon Bhogali Bihu festival has been celebrating the Bhogali Bihu festival for over a century. The organization is dedicated to promoting and preserving Assamese culture and traditions.
