SIVASAGAR: In a spectacular win for the tea industry in Assam, the Attabarie Tea Estate located in Sivasagar's Demow has bagged the tag of the world's best Black CTC tea at the World Tea Championship 2025. The recognition was made during the World Tea Expo Awards in Las Vegas where the best of teas from all over the world were honored.
Attabarie company, a Luxmi Group subsidiary, received an award for its CTC black tea as being of the highest quality, further cementing Assam's position as a leading brand in the global tea market. The award is well-timed as Assam Tea marks its 200th anniversary, highlighting Assam's long tradition and commitment to excellence in tea production.
There was joy and pride in the air at the Attabarie Tea Estate after the announcement. The management held a party to commemorate the hardworking tea workers, handing out sweets as a gesture of appreciation of their toil and commitment to producing such an award-winning tea.
