GUWAHATI: In a significant move, Bobbeeta Sharma has decided to resign from all her political posts in the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee due to personal reasons. She thanked all leaders of AICC and APCC for giving her the opportunity to serve the people of Assam through the Indian National Congress—a political party with a great heritage that had been a part of her growing-up years till date.
"I wish Sri Gaurav Gogoi, the new APCC president, and his team all the best and hope they will be able to steer the party towards a better future, cleansing it from within," Bobbeeta Sharma stated in a press release.
"We had given the Panchayat Elections Enquiry Committee Report to AICC under the chairmanship of Ex-MP, Ex-APCC President Sri Paban Singh Ghatowar, Sri R. P. Sharma, Ex-MP, member, and myself as member-secretary. I hope our suggestions will be carried out in letter and spirit for the betterment of the party," she further stated.
