KOKRAJHAR: Bongaigaon Refinery (BGR) located at Dhaligaon in Chirang district, one of the nine refineries under the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (I0CL) is showcasing its diverse range of petroleum products through an engaging exhibition stall in the 64th Bodo Sahitya Sabha session being held at Dwimu Nwgwr, Dimakuchi in Udalguri district. The display of petroleum products is going on in the exhibition stall in the BSS session since January 6 last where the Udalguri district BSS also observed its annual convention till January 8 and the session of the central committee, BSS got underway from January 9 last. It may be mentioned that the BGR was formed on 25 March, 2009 through the merger of Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (BRPL) with I0CL.
With a 2.7 million metric ton cude oil processing capacity, this refinery is equipped with the latest technologies to produce a diverse portfolio of high-quality petroleum products, such as LPG, MS, 20% ethanol blended petrol, HSD, LDO, CBFS, Sulphur, and Raw Petroleum Coke.
The BGR stall in the BSS session witnessed enthusiastic visitors, including school and college students, who displayed keen interest in the refining processes and products. The BGR team, stationed at the stall, is delighted to share their expertise, and visitors are amazed to discover how petroleum products play a vital role in their daily lives.
