KOKRAJHAR: Chief Executive Member of BTC and the president of the UPPL, Pramod Boro, has asserted that the continuous exit of senior leaders of the BPF was indicating the beginning of the countdown of BPF’s fall, while the UPPL, which began its journey like a small boat on the sea in 2015, has turned into a giant ship navigating towards sustainable peace and development.

On Saturday, CEM Boro, while welcoming the senior BPF leader and former Deputy Chief of BTC Kampa Borgoyari at Thaikajhora in Chirang district in a grand joining ceremony, said the UPPL had been working on the motto of peace, progress, equality, and justice since its formation. He said the people of BTR had witnessed uninterrupted peace and transformative changes, moving away from violence, corruption, and misgovernance to peace, progress, and good governance within five years of UPPL’s rule.

He said, “Inspired by our work and unwavering commitment to our founding principles, the very senior BPF leader and former Deputy CEM of BTC, Kampa Borgoyari, along with hundreds of BPF supporters, has joined the UPPL and is strengthening our collective vision for a peaceful and progressive BTR.”

Boro said in 2015, Minister UG Brahma set sail with a boat called UPPL, and today, that boat has transformed into a mighty ship, navigating towards a future of inclusive growth and development. He called upon all to unite to steer this journey forward, ensuring a brighter tomorrow for the people of the BTR.

Talking to media persons, former Deputy Chief of BTC and vice president of BPF Kampa Borgoyari said only political unification will ensure stability, permanent peace, and sustainable development in BTR. He said the UPPL had been working with collective vision and inclusive policy for all communities. He said if the possibility of unity among the BPF and UPPL seemed to be not a reality due to the difference of ideology of the leadership, then people should identify the working trend of the parties that have a collective vision, collective decision, and inclusive ideas. He also said the UPPL had been the best choice for their collective responsibilities all along and said joining together to UPPL by all will end the differences and make them united.

Replying to questions, Borgoyari said the dark days of the BPF were coming nearer and the party leaders and workers were aware of it. He also said people should come forward with the UPPL to transform BTC with political stability.
