KARIMGANJ: A resident of Assam's Karimganj bought his dream bike last Saturday with the down payment paid with coins which he had saved over several years.
The name of the person is Suranjan Roy and he is a resident of the Ramkrishna Nagar region of the Karimganj district of Assam. He is the owner of a small business in the town area. Over the years, he managed to save Rs 50000 in coins. And he used the same savings to pay the down payment amount for his new two-wheeler on Saturday.
It has been his dream for a very long time to buy a two-wheeler vehicle. That is why he saved the money over the years, mentioned in a report.
He visited a TVS showroom near his place on the evening of Saturday. He talked to the employees and browsed through the two-wheelers available on the display. He liked a particular model named the Apache 160 4V bike.
According to a report, after he checked out the two-wheeler, he expressed his interest in buying the particular model. He also informed that he has Rs 50000 in coins which he wishes to give as the downpayment for the vehicle.
The employees were initially shocked on the strange request of Suranjan Roy and seeing his sack full of coins. The employees consulted the owner of the establishment regarding the matter and finally decided to go ahead with the deal.
Although the employees had a hard time sorting through the coins and counting them, they decided to give the man his favorite two wheeler. Suranjan Roy had apparently told the people in the showroom that he started to save money just so that he could buy that particular two wheeler.
Another case similar to this was reported from West Bengal when a person named Subrata Sarkar saved coins to buy a luxury two-wheeler.
