SILCHAR: In a significant stride towards ensuring a free, fair, and flawless Panchayat Election 2025, the District Commissioner of Cachar, Mridul Yadav, along with Additional District Commissioner Yubraj Borthakur, convened a pivotal meeting at the new conference hall of the DC office here on Thursday. The focus of the meeting was the meticulous review of election guidelines meant for presiding officers and polling officers, with an emphasis on strict compliance and uniform execution.
The high-level deliberation underscored the district administration’s commitment to upholding the sanctity of the democratic process. Both senior officials laid particular stress on the need for all election personnel to be thoroughly familiar with their duties and responsibilities to avoid any lapses during polling. They discussed in detail the code of conduct, polling station preparedness, transportation and security arrangements.
The meeting also served as a platform for clarifying doubts, sharing past experiences, and setting expectations to avert discrepancies on polling day. With the Panchayat elections playing a vital role in grassroots democracy, the District Commissioner urged all officers to approach their duties with diligence, impartiality, and a deep sense of civic responsibility.
As the countdown to the Panchayat Election 2025 begins, Cachar’s administration is leaving no stone unturned in creating an environment of transparency and efficiency, thus reinforcing public confidence in the electoral system, stated a press release.
