TEZPUR: The Sonitpur District Administration organized a ceremonial distribution of CM’s gifts at the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s Office, where government recognized/accredited journalists of the district received a token of appreciation as goodwill gifts sent from the Chief Minister of Assam.
The event was presided over by District Commissioner Ankur Bharali, with the inaugural address delivered by District Information & Public Relations Officer Ankita Gogoi. In his speech, the District Commissioner acknowledged the crucial role of journalists as the fourth pillar of democracy, appreciating their dedication and contributions towards the progress of society and the nation. He also extended gratitude for their active participation and continuous support in the various government programmes of the district.
The District Commissioner presented the Chief Minister’s token of appreciation to a total of 56 government recognized/accredited journalists from across the district. The event was attended by officials from the Nazarat Branch of the District Commissioner’s Office and staff members from the District Information & Public Relations Office, Sonitpur.
