BOKAKHAT:  Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the flood-affected people of the greater Jamurang area in Golaghat district, including Mitharam Chapori and Kenduguri regions of Morangi, to assess their condition. During the CM’s visit, the Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti (Student Liberation Struggle Committee) organized and presented the key problems and demands of the people from more than 25 flood-affected villages across the greater Morangi area directly to him.

The Chief Minister promised to accept the demands outlined in the memorandum submitted by the Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti on behalf of the flood-affected people. However, the organization warned that if the demands were not fulfilled, the farmers and affected people were prepared to launch a protest movement on the streets.
